We had a really good stay in Walnut Cottage. Warm welcome matched by warmth in the cottage. So good to come back to a glowing wood-burner after days out. We loved the area and being taken out for walks by Pluto who knew all the best paths. How good to drive on quiet and attractive roads- a great deal to explore in the area, not to mention the local restaurants. We certainly hope to come back, perhaps not in February! Even then a good deal of sun. Thank you, Derek, for looking after us so well.

Enjoyed a thoroughly pleasant and relaxing stay over the Christmas period in one of the best quality gites we have holidayed in - and we have holidayed in a great many over several decades! Jane and Derek looked after us superbly - thank you for the lovely present, which we are just beginning to enjoy. We are happily recommending them and their gites to our circle of friends.

In September we thoroughly enjoyed our second year with Derek & Jane at their gite in Rioux Martin. We had returned to integrate our stay with the Circuit des Remparts at Angouleme - a fantastic weekend guided by Derek and Jane throughout. Our stay as before was in superb accommodation with hosts second to none.

Can only echo what's been written already.lovely people, superb accommodation and nothing is too much trouble. Pluto made us feel very welcome! Oh yes, and those empty roads....Fantastic! We had a great time.

A fantastic holiday in a peaceful and idyllic setting, the gite was superb and the care and attention we received from Jane and Derek was exceptional, daily gite service, information pack, maps, bikes to hire to enjoy the scenery, a hot tub and even ice creams and beer in the fridge!! Nothing was too much trouble and a wealth of local knowledge. We definately hope to return as we feel that anywhere else just wouldn't measure up. Thank you both we had a wonderful time.

Thank you Derek and Jane for looking after us so well. A beautiful area with lots to do and see. Nothing was too much trouble for Derek and Jane and the accommodation was superb.A place of total relaxation with Pluto to take for a walk !! A great welcome pack, with lots of ideas on the information sheet including places to eat which Derek will book for you if your French isn't great !

A very warm welcome at all times, service second to none. If you are looking to get away and relax - this is the place. Numerous interesting places to visit with great advice from Derek and Jane. A pre-printed sheet with things going on around the area during your stay was part of the info pack, very handy.Hire one of their special classic cars to open up your holiday and enjoy the almost traffic free roads. Derek and Jane will work hard to ensure your stay is enjoyable & trouble free. A fantastic week, cant wait to go back.

We have had the most relaxing week in a superb gite. It was exactly what we were looking for... peaceful, idyllic and with attention to every detail we felt totally spoilt. Derek & Jane have managed to create a mini haven and offer total luxury with the added benefit of lovely places to visit on the door step. We will definitely be back and look forward to driving the Fiat Spider again and borrowing Pluto for a walk round the lake!

Thank you Derek & Jane for looking after us so well on our recent visit to rural France. Facilities at the Gite were superb and the service and hospitality were second to none. What a stunning location.

This was our first touring holiday in France which we arranged for ourselves and Jane & Derek couldn't have been more helpful in advising us on other accommodation and routes. It was also our first holiday in a gite and we couldn't have chosen better. The accommodation was superb and Jane & Derek were the best of hosts. Even Ellie Elan approved of her accommodation and said she would like to go again and see Pluto, Pickles & Pomme! Thank you very much Jane & Derek, you can use us as a reference anytime.

The classic cars are very expensive and they are one of the best performance cars and have a great engine speed which make it drive more smooth. The interior and exterior design is awesome and it you really feels very comfortable when you drive it...This site is really amazing...and thanks for the information on classic cars...http://carinsuranceclassic.co.uk/

This, our first experience of staying in a gite in France, was superb - Probably spoils us for others.
Derek & Jane were fantastic hosts helping with routes for touring, great restaurants & even where to find interesting walks - although having the open cars to tour around in was a real highlight. The new local race circuit was also an added attraction with both cars & bikes racing during our visit.
We appreciated the peace & tranquility of the area when we weren't touring, dining out or enjoying Derek & Jane's great hospitality.
We will definitely be back & would highly recommend the experience to anyone.

Well what can we say apart from Superb!!!! The Gite was nothing like my childhood memories of spartan buildings with very basic equipment...It was a 5 * Hotel and the we were treated as 5* guests. Beautiful setting with so much attention to detail, absolutely fantastic. Derek and Jane were wonderful hosts, nothing was too much trouble...even the fridge was restocked daily with home grown tomatoes!!! The welcome pack stuffed full of thoughtful treats kept us going all week ...all in all a very special and unique place. Loved the area especially the hidden surprises such as the lakes 5 mins up the road and the amazing race track 10 mins away.
We will be back as we are already missing Pluto and Pickles!!!
